What will an Essentials garden design look like?
All Great Spaces garden designs are adapted to fit your garden, and we ensure that all the different elements you've requested are included if appropriate for your budget .
Below is an example of one of our Essentials garden designs created with an Entertaining overall style. You will see how the decking, lawn and borders are laid out to provide easy acess from the house. Full colour photos help you to visualise the elements we have included in your design.
What materials will you use?
We use a range of quality materials in each garden, and details of exactly which ones are used to construct your garden will be given to you with your personal design adaptation. The timber we use is from sustainable sources, and we try to minimise the environmental impact of using other materials such as cement through the use of modern construction techniques. An impressive selection of high quality plants, from 2 litre pots to specimen trees, are included with every garden (unless of course you choose a hard landscaping only option!). The quantity and sizes of plants will depend on the size of your garden, your own preferences and your budget.
When can I order my new garden?
Right now! The earlier you order the more certainty there is that we’ll be able to install your garden at a time most convenient to you. If you are buying a new home it also gives you time to see if you can add the cost of your garden onto your mortgage, although you should seek independent advice about this.
How long does it take to install?
Your garden will typically take from one to two weeks to install, although we'll make sure we tell you how long we expect to spend installing it. Our installation teams work continuously on your garden until they've finished, so you won't need to worry about whether they'll turn up or not. Like many other companies, we find it hard to work in heavy rain or frost, although we'll try and let you know in advance if bad weather is forecast.
How much maintenance will my garden require?
Although all our gardens are designed to keep maintenance to a minimum, you'll need to follow simple instructions to keep your garden growing and looking healthy. Once we've finished, one of the installation team will take you through your personal copy of our plant care guide, tailored specifically to the plants in your garden. We also label plants for easy identification and cross-referencing back to the colour photos in the plant care guide.
Is the work guaranteed?
We guarantee all the work we do for twelve months from installation, providing you don't carry out any modifications, whilst plants are guaranteed against disease and sickness for the first three months.
Can I personalise my garden in any way?
Yes! You'll usually get a choice of colours for things like patios and walkways. We've also put together an exciting list of award winning and original extra features and garden related accessories that have been carefully selected to compliment your garden, and add your own personal touches. Whether it's a designer barbeque, great furniture, or some cool planters that you want, take a look at our optional extras, as you are sure to find something you'll love!
